This piece has a red jasper base and a gold-plated semi-meridian (the vertical circle around the globe with the latitude scale). Each countries and continents is inlaid with different gemstones. Australia is inlaid with abalon shell.
This unique globe is stylishly designed and exquisitely handcrafted using 20 different kinds of gemstones from around the world. Each "country" is precisely hand cut using contrasting natural gemstones including Amethyst, Abalone, Picture Jasper, Tiger's eye, African Jade and Mother-of-Pearl. These precious pieces are then individually inlaid and surrounded with a sea of Red Jasper.
