This sculpture depicts a boy with his sister piggy-back, and she holds the Olympic Torrch as they walk. The title of this bronze is "The Torch" and it is numbered one of only /300 limited edition. This piece has a beautiful copper tone patina and it is mounted on a dark teak wood base. There is an official seal of the Olympic United States Aid Comittee mounted on the base. This bronze was created by the lost wax process.

Dennis Smith has achieved international recognition as a figurative sculptor. Even though, modern methods and materials have improved the technique. It is still an extremely labor intensive and expensive process.
