This sculpture depicts a girl modestly holding her skirt down blown by the wind. She has a suprised look on her face with her hair blown by the wind, her tank top strap down and her skirt that was gracefully lifted by the wind. This bronze has a beautiful dark brown patina mounted on a green marble. This sculpture will make an excellent conversation piece in any setting! This bronze figure was created by the lost wax casting process.
Lost Wax Casting Process
The "Lost Wax" is the most precise metal casting technique in existence, ensuring accurate reproductions of the original sculpture and exquisite detail. All bronze pieces are cast from a wax model regardless of the original material the model was sculpted in usually in clay or wax. "Lost wax" casting method was founded thousands of years ago. Even though, modern methods and materials have improved the technique. It is still an extremely labor intensive and expensive process.
