Nude Dancer Bronze Sculpture Statue on Green Marble Base done after Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet.
This is a classical bronze of a nude lady dancing and playing with her hair. The figure has a beautiful gold patina and a black patina underwear. It is mounted on a beautiful green marble base. This will be a piece that will draw attention where ever you place it. This bronze figure was created by the lost wax casting process.
Artist Bio:
Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet was born in Brussels where she was a student of Jeff Lambeaux. Like many artist, she moved to Paris where she was elected to the Societ`e des Artistes Francais. In 1914, she won an honorable mention at the Salon des Independants from 1937 to 1940. She had a powerful sense of space with limbs and hands arranged in strange balletic poses.
Lost Wax Casting Process
The "Lost Wax" is the most precise metal casting technique in existence, ensuring accurate reproductions of the original sculpture and exquisite detail. All bronze pieces are cast from a wax model regardless of the original material the model was sculpted in usually in clay or wax. "Lost wax" casting method was founded thousands of years ago. Even though, modern methods and materials have improved the technique. It is still an extremely labor intensive and expensive process.
Condition: This bronze is in a very good condition and it is a great piece of art.
